Product overview of Transient Fault Indicator:

When a single phase to the ground fault occurs in the distribution network, a special frequency sinusoidal current is injected through the central point. The current, except for the part in the central point arc suppression coil, forms a circuit through the fault point and the fault line.

The fault location detecting unit and the fault isolating switch are arranged on the distribution circuit, detecting and judging the special frequency current signals of the distribution lines. When the single-phase to the ground fault occurs in the distribution line, the signal source comes into the fault location detecting unit and the special frequency current signal is detected when the fault isolating switch exceeds the preset threshold. Then the fault location detecting unit will alarm, meanwhile, the fault isolation switch will trip to isolate fault, in order to ensure the normal use of electricity along the non-fault line.

Application of Transient Fault Indicator:

The transient fault indicator can be installed on overhead lines, power cables or installed in power equipment, such as box-type substation (BTS), ring main units (RMU), cable branch box, etc., indicating the outgoing lines, branches and sections.

Features of Transient Fault Indicator:

Acquisition unit:
The use of solar panels can increase the anti-interference ability of this unit. Also, sensors and detection objects are always in the equipotential state, so that it is without any interference from the electromagnetic field.
This unit adopts MC technology, A/D sampling technology and low power technology, so that its action is reliable, and can judge recommendations stably.
It can detect the load current, identify the change of inrush current in the instantaneous input of the line load, and change of the short-circuit current, and can accurately determine the short-circuit fault of the line.
When the fault signal occurs, the micro control chip and related circuits are immediately run, then the setting program is started, and after the failure is restored, the micro control chip and the relevant circuit re-enters the dormant energy-saving state;
66 bit password is effective, in order to prevent misoperation.

Collection unit:
This unit receives the fault information from the fault detection unit.
The demodulated signal is decrypted and transmitted by this unit, and then the fault information is sent to the main station server system.
With the design of micro power consumption, it will be directly installed on the 10 thousand volt line, which can directly take and use the solar energy on the circuit. So it has strong anti-interference ability and is free from any electromagnetic interference.
